Whitehorse, Yukon

This was the beginning of the most rugged road trip BikerTV has ever done! The Dempster Highway to Inuvik Northwest Territories is about 700km of gravel, mud and rocks. We hit the road in Whitehorse Yukon and headed North I wouldn't do this trip on my Harley, but luckily Yamaha Canada lent BikerTV producer Tom Mann a 2008 WR250R and myself a 2008 WR250X Super Moto for us to conquer the Dempster on. I was on a mission to the top of the world! More to come.....

Ride For Dad, Ottawa

The Ride For Dad in Ottawa May 24 was very impressive to say the least! Over 1700 registered riders took part raising $325,000 for Prostate cancer research. It was a beautiful sunny day for a scenic ride escorted by Ottawa Police, along the Ottawa river parkways, past the Parliaments and throughout the Ottawa Valley. On the poker run that followed, the road to Calabogie was very curvy and put a huge smile on my face. Prostate cancer is not a hot topic amongst burly bikers but it is a common threat and early detection is key. Do yourself a favor and get checked for it. The ride For Dad is a National event. Check out http://www.motorcycleridefordad.org/ and get registered in city near you.

BRO Niagara, Cover the Kids Toy Run, May 3/08

I was thoroughly impressed with what BRO Niagara is doing for the Community Outreach Program of Erie. The Cover the Kids Toy Run has been going strong for 25 years raising money and toys for children in need. The forecast called for steady rain and thunderstorms all day in Port Dalhousie. But that didn't stop hundreds of riders from taking part in the ride and raising some dough for a very worthy cause. Check out www.bro.on.ca for info and see you at the 26th annual in May/09.

Regina Custom Bike Show

My weekend in Saskatchewan at the Regina Custom Bike Show was awesome again this year! Good people, great hospitality and Kick ass Canadian built custom bikes....that's what it's all about. Many thanks to Dean Bell and family from Raw Power Custom Cycle for all their hard work and for having me there. Congratulations to Freakshow Custom Choppers! Sweet Bike guys! Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see next years entry.
P.S. I'm holding you to your offer to let me ride the bike of my choice. Although if I can't decide, I might have to ride them all! I'm good like that! Heather.
