Ride For Dad, Ottawa

The Ride For Dad in Ottawa May 24 was very impressive to say the least! Over 1700 registered riders took part raising $325,000 for Prostate cancer research. It was a beautiful sunny day for a scenic ride escorted by Ottawa Police, along the Ottawa river parkways, past the Parliaments and throughout the Ottawa Valley. On the poker run that followed, the road to Calabogie was very curvy and put a huge smile on my face. Prostate cancer is not a hot topic amongst burly bikers but it is a common threat and early detection is key. Do yourself a favor and get checked for it. The ride For Dad is a National event.
